Dancer, choreographer and actress born in Venezuela, with Chinese and Italian descent and French nationality.

 

Mey-Ling Bisogno has built her career on a multi-stage journey that includes the cities of Caracas, Miami, New York, Buenos Aires, Paris and Madrid.

She studied various dance, movement, and theater techniques to feed her curiosity and appetite for the scene. He has trained in classical dance, contemporary dance, jazz dance, mime-dynamics, wrestling, Grotowski technique, flying low, K1 among many others.

Awarded a training fellowship at the Alvin Ailey American Dance in New York. She also studied theater in Buenos Aires with the well-known director Rubén Schumacher and in Paris, at L'École Internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq.

Mey-Ling Bisogno has developed a very unique language of movement, her very particular aesthetic is one of the pillars of her work. Her works reach an intensity and dynamic that captures the interest of all audiences, including those who are not usually interested in the performing arts.

For the realization of her productions she has received grants from the Antorchas Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, the Community of Madrid and the Madrid City Council. Her works have been co-produced by Suresnes Cité Danse, Theater du West Parisien and the Maison du Théâtre de la Danse et Epinay sur Seine.

She has received technical and artistic residencies at the Centre National de la Danse, Centre Choregraphique de Créteil et du Val-de-Marne, Centre Choregraphique de La Rochelle, ADDP Micadanse (France), the Center for Artistic Resources Management Nave del Duende, Cultural Center Paco Rabal, Centro Coreográfico Teatros del Canal, Community of Choreographers, Conde Duque, Sierra Norte Regional Humanities Center and Bassano del Grappa Italia Center for Contemporary Scena.
